In 1971, the Simeonidis family opened a small take-out pizzeria in Thompson, Manitoba, while working at the Inco Nickel mines. Their commitment to quality food and value quickly made the pizzeria a success, becoming the busiest in Thompson within a year.

By 1974, the family relocated to Winnipeg and established a new pizzeria at Waterloo and Corydon, rapidly expanding to multiple locations. In 1990, they went international with a location in Fargo, N.D., USA.

The key to their success has been maintaining high standards for all menu items, following their tradition of making fresh dough, bread, sauces, salad dressings, and traditional Greek foods from scratch. This dedication has earned them a stellar reputation, extending beyond their renowned pizzas.

Santa Lucia Pizza has been recognized by Winnipeggers with numerous awards, including 'Best Pizza in Winnipeg' by Uptown Magazine, the Consumers’ Choice Award for 'Best Family Restaurant', 'Best Garlic Bread' by the Winnipeg Free Press, 'Best Greek Salad' by the Winnipeg Tribune, and 'Best Food Booth' from the Taste of Manitoba.

Each Santa Lucia Pizza location is independently owned and operated, offering slight menu variations. Regardless of the location, customers can choose from a wide array of pizzas, pastas, salads, signature chicken, ribs, and Greek dishes, assured of high quality in every bite.

Customers are warmly invited to experience the rich culinary heritage of the Simeonidis family.
